Each Fernhill refill is a 25 ml paper sachet of plant-derived concentrate. Tip it into your glass forever bottle, top up with tap water, and you have 500 ml of cleaner — without buying another plastic bottle or paying to ship water across the country.
Our mission
Fernhill started in 2022 at a kitchen table in Stroud, with one question: why does a bottle of spray cleaner travel the country as 95% water in single-use plastic? Our job is simple — make cleaners that work as well as the supermarket ones, name every ingredient and where it comes from, and stop shipping water and plastic around.
Full INCI list with source and purpose on every product. No "fragrance" catch-all — just the essential oils, by name.
A sachet weighs 31 g. A filled 500 ml bottle weighs 560 g. You add the water; we skip the lorry space.
Bottles are glass with a recycled-silicone sleeve. The only plastic is the trigger head — guaranteed for 5 years, and we take it back.

Impact, counted
Big numbers mean little without context, so here's what each one actually represents.
Every sachet replaces a 500 ml plastic bottle that would have been bought, used once and binned. At 38 g each, that's 48.8 tonnes of new plastic — about the weight of four double-decker buses.
Each pack of three sachets weighs 110 g and fits through a letterbox. Sending the same cleaner ready-mixed would weigh 1.7 kg — so we've put roughly 670 fewer tonnes on the road.
Compared with buying the same cleaners in new plastic bottles, measured from raw material to your door. That's about the same as 95 average UK cars driven for a whole year.
Figures run from launch in March 2022 to 30 September 2026. The CO₂e figure comes from an independent cradle-to-door lifecycle assessment, updated each spring; the full method and its limits (we don't yet count your tap water or the bottle's dishwasher washes) are published on our impact page.
